After a couple hours of rest, we began pushing at 5:30 am. Dr. Crowe will be on her way shortly. The baby still needs to come down a little bit.. our nurse says she’s looking the wrong way right now.

finally… rest

Laura has been able to rest in the last 30 minutes or so. The nurse just checked her and she’s 8 cm. dilated, and the baby has moved down to something between -1 and “station zero” so we’re movin’ along.

Station -1

Contractions are about three minutes apart. The baby is at “station -1.” Station 0 is when the baby is at the pelvis, and you start pushing when she’s at +2.. so we’ve got a little way to go.
